Monday 17th September – Wimbledon Stadium Well…this will go down as the meeting that should’ve been, but wasn’t!  There were 48 cars in the pits and it was guaranteed to be good, however confusion between Wimbledon Stadium and Spedeworth meant Deane Wood didn’t know the producers only wanted 14 cars!  The plan was to link up drivers to a celibrity team via a ear piece, with the team supposedly telling the driver what to do.  Deane held a drivers meeting to decide what to do.  Drivers were told if they didn’t race they would be paid £100 for their time, but as it stood only 14 could race.  Unsurprisingly most loaded up, including 772 Bernie who was on the lorry before Deane had finished talking ;), however 13 chose to race and it wasn’t the end of the world. Drivers who raced: 35,104,194,200,258,436,503,529,562,784,785,786,999 Heat 1 was billed as non-contact, although 194 Cecil took a full contact win, whilst 784 Mouth rolled herself on the last lap. Heat 2 and the drivers were told they could hit things!  436 Shaft (or Shat!) spun 529 Keith Boy, allowing 785 Conway to slaughter the latter, with 503 Dave Matthews also doing Keith Boy, who then stuck it in reverse to do Conway.  35 Bug came round and duly jacked Keith Boy, before the latter and 503 Matthews enjoyed some afters on the centre.  194 Cecil took the win again. The Final had Just 9 cars, 2 fresh uns even though Bumble n Danny Lucas were told they couldn’t go out.  785 Conway gave 718 The Red Devil a suicidal shot over the front wheel before 784 Mouth jacked 258 Turner, rolling herself in the process to bring out the reds.  503 Matthews gave 786 a big hit, as 562 Terry Scruton spun 436 Shaft, and avoided 35 Bug on oppo to take the win.
