Sunday 14th October - Arena Essex - Olly Moran Memorial
Report by BangerBash

A pretty poor showing of 29 cars for the Olly Moran Memorial with 2 failing to make the track as well. The majority of
the field had Cav's and the sole RWD motor was a Sierra. With some of the Bad Co members at Hednesford there was
no-one for the Glads to play with which was going to make it very quiet from the off.

With the poor showing they still decided to split the heats and only 12 came out for Heat 1 with no action at all. 103
John Seex took the win ahead of 556 Chris Whiteman Jnr (Mondeo) and 401 Mark Newman.
1st: 103-John Seex, 2nd-556, 3rd-401, 4th-27, 5th-637, 6th-399, 7th-63, 8th-542, 9th-37, 10th-627

With some late arrivals Heat 2 had 15 in it and wasn't much better although 409 Kris Venables (Bluebird Est) went into
the side of the span 356 Luke Radley (Cav Mk2) while 303 Jody Walker had a pop at 571 George Goodearl (Mondeo)
before diving to the centre green. 193 Frankie Skinner won from Goodearl and 250 Carl Howard.
1st: 193-Frankie Skinner, 2nd-571, 3rd-250, 4th-567, 5th-397, 6th-549, 7th-527, 8th-336, 9th-242, 10th-112

25 came back for the Final and 174 Dave Osbourn (Mondeo) span out Walker before the latter took a big shot from
Goodearl over the back wheel. The lively Goodearl then took out Seex while Radley walled 112 Ian Greatrex. Goodearl
picked up 627 Barry Colliver (Sierra) and followed him in snapping the latter. Skinner lead Whiteman Jnr into Walker's
dead motor en route to getting a heat and double. Howard and 399 Phil Cullen filled the podium.
1st: 193-Frankie Skinner, 2nd-250, 3rd-399, rest to follow

17 cars came back for the Rawlins/DD and Radley span out on the straight and 542 Craig Oliver had nowhere to go
but into the side over the back wheel. 63 Paul Ruskin span out 37 Tommy Harding while Howard also had a pop at the
latter. 242 Ricky Korpiella had a shot at 512 Lewis Harvey while Howard took the win. 336 Ian Smith lunged at Ruskin
before the latter pulled off. Oliver was lurking on the bend looking for a head on and gave a solid one to 112 Squeaky.
349 Lewis Price (Mondeo) also stuck it to Squeaky before taking a stiff shot from 567 Gary Brown (Vectra) and Smiffy
fired into Brown. Brown sat in his car waving the drivers in but to no avail. 206 Phil Milner (Mondeo) turned it round and
did Korps through the side. It was down to Korps and a few Glads. Whipper took out the Runner and Smiffy weighed in
with a hit. 512 Shaggy t-boned Korps to take the last car honours.
1st: 250-Carl Howard, 2nd-401
Last Car Running: 512-Lewis Harvey
Best Wrecked: 349-Lewis Price
