| Saturday 6th October - Kings Lynn - TSR World Final Just under 70 motors for TSR’s rearranged World Final with visitors from PRI, RDC, Spedeworth, Incarace and even Crimond in the form of 221 John Riddell who had a mostly fibreglass Renault Espace! 398 Julian Watson kept it real with a Mk 4 Cortina, whilst 52 Deany and 516 Erik the Viking went one better with a pair of Mk 3’s. It was, however, 311 Golden Boy and 312 Turbo Tom who topped the bill with a Mk 3 Cortina Estate and A60 respectively. The Last Chance Qualifier had around 40 cars on the grid id and 96 Brat thundered in 403 The Duck from the word go with a pile up forming turn 4. 209 Haresign walled 801 Jack Foster whilst 715 Mick Prince turned 334 Courty left. 15 Lee Weeks followed 338 Terry Garrod into Brat before taking a shot from 525 Starmer. 133 Karly stuck it to 516 Erik as 530 Mazie Snr turned 708 ottingham into the pit gate. 128 Lacky flicked out 801 Foster was 391 Ol Matey jacked Weeks and sent him into the tyres. 516 Erik met 349 Allard on the nose as 136 Clyde Williams wound out 777 Russell Gill. 285 Mr Misery won from Shorty, with Stopher, Sutton & Bondy all booking their place in the World too. Next up was the World Final, with 37 motors on the grid and local boys 253 Askham and 385 Gedge going off the front. As the green dropped 233 Aldridge was the first to go, before taking a head on from 42 Steve Prince, and getting pounded by the pack. 312 Turbo done his best to follow in 247 Bro before coming to rest by the starter, where he took a monster jacking off of 269 Greg Mulligan, who took an equally fierce shot from 148 Shorty in turn. 999 Cotty jacked 815 Ian Castle on the infield whilst 730 Mazie Jnr flicked out 385 Gedge. The rapid 85 Ellis span out 515 Flatters whilst the lively Mazie Jnr also put pay to 207 Compo. 385 Gedge nailed 58 Danny Day as 999 Cotty retreated to the infield. Meanwhile Mazie was making progress through the pack, although at this stage it seemed Ellis was still leading. 999 Cotty came off the middle at 364 Da Winch as 253 Askham and 425 Stopher both went round. The chequers fell on Ellis although it turned out 730 Dean Mayes had actually won, in a slightly controversial end to an otherwise blinding race. The first Allcomers attracted 43 cars with 334 Courty giving 272 Eddie Holland the bone on turn 2, although he in turn took one from 792 Warby. 715 Mick Prince followed in 128 Lacky whilst 52 Deany had taken a huge jacking on the home straight, unseen by myself. A pile up formed on the top bend although the reds appeared seemingly for a shaken up Eddie Holland, although thankfully all was ok and we soon returned with 807 Murfin having 334 Greeny out as 349 Allard gave the spun 516 car a monstrous head on, with Erik in trouble the reds appeared and an unfortunate lengthly delay to get him out of the car. Just 16 cars left for the second restart with 180 Foster walling 334 Green before 149 Bailey pulled off a similar move on 791 Spud, Mushy took the win from Cruncher in a much quieter race. 21 cars returned for the second Allcomers with 136 Clyde Williams walling 221 John Riddell fro the off. 715 Mick Prince hammered 313 Cully, who was in his first race of the night, before spinning 136 Williams. 902 Tony Lowther walled 557 Paranoid on the top bend. 385 Gedge jacked the long stationary 391 car, with Ol Matey giving him attacker the thumbs up immediately. Mushy took the win again, although was disqualified for tyres, handing the win to Cruncher. The DD attracted 9 cars, with 225 Bully giving 272 Eddie Holland a stonking head on from the off, the latter taking a big shot from Mulligan in turn, as elsewhere 515 Gareth Flatters nailed 221 John Riddell although the latter fought back with a head on. Flatters stuck it to the Espace on oppo, before coming down the straight to absolutely slaughter it. Amazingly Riddell carried on and exchanged hits with Flatters. It was, however, the 515 Bluey who came off better, although credit to Riddell who had a cracking night in the Espace. 15 Lee Weeks – Bluebird* 20 Andy Burbridge – Primera 38 Tom Chilton - Mondeo 42 Steve Prince – Mk 3 Cavalier 52 Steven Dean – Mk 3 Cortina 56 – Mk 3 Cavalier 58 Danny Day – Mondeo 72 Gavin Bond – Mk 3 Cavalier* 85 James Ellis – Bluebird 90 Simon Chapman – Mk 3 Cavalier 94 Jamie Wyatt - Mondeo 96 Liam Brinton – Mondeo* 119 Davey Cox – Mk 3 Cavalier* 128 Andy Lack – Bluebird 133 Karl Day – Bluebird Est 136 Clyde Williams – Bluebird 137 – Marina Est 148 Ian Redden – Bluebird* 149 Wayne Bailey – Primera 170 Darren Teal – Bluebird 180 Mark Foster – Bluebird* 207 Michael Woodward – Mk 3 Cavalier 209 Gary Haresign – Mk4 Granada* 221 John Riddell – Renault Espace 225 Nick Bull – Primera 247 Lee Clarke – Mk 3 Cavalier 233 Rob Aldridge – Mk 3 Granada 253 Steve Askham – Mk 3 Cavalier 269 Greg Mulligan – Bluebird 272 Eddie Holland – Mk 3 Cavalier 285 Sean Dyer – Bluebird 288 Ashley Burton – Mk 3 Cavalier 292 Keith Saunders – Primera 311 Gary Lown – Mk 3 Cortina Est 312 Tom Reynolds – Morris Oxford 313 John Cullingford – Volvo 440 334 Stephen Court – Sierra* 334 Stu Green – Carina II Est 338 Terry Garrod – Mondeo 345 Richard Lown – Mazda 626 348 Sonny Sherwood – Mk 3 Cavalier 349 Michael Allard – Mk 3 Cavalier 361 Chris Walden – Prelude 364 Sean Winchester – Bluebird* 385 Roy Gedge – Civic 391 Wayne Shinn – Primera* 403 Steve Parrish – Bluebird* 425 Martin Stopher – Mk 3 Astra 431 Shaun Abra – Bluebird* 439 Danny Sutton – Mk 3 Cavalier* 465 Andy Scarlett – Bluebird* 515 Gareth Flatters – Bluebird 516 Eric Dean – Mk 3 Cortina 525 Wes Starmer – Bluebird Est* 530 Steve Mayes – Calibra* 557 Paul Bowen – Calibra 708 Jamie Nottingham – Mondeo 715 Mick Prince – Bluebird 741 Luke Parfitt – Mk 3 Cavalier 815 Ian Castle – Sunny Coupe 730 Dean Mayes – Mk 3 Cavalier 771 Ricky Roberts – Bluebird 777 Russell Gill – Primera* 791 Nicky Young – Mondeo Est 792 Stu Warby – Primera 801 Jack Foster – Bluebird* 807 Chris Murfin – Mk 3 Cavalier* 902 Tony Lowther – Bluebird 999 Shane Cottrell – Honda Accord |
